Tekken 6, Peter Moore, and Shia LeBeouf on Gaming
Posted by El Pato | Filed under Gaming
You know what’s really getting everyone’s nerves? The fact Tekken 6 still isn’t out yet. The game has been out in Japan for almost a year. How friggin’ long does it take to localize a fighting game like Tekken? Half the moves are in English anyways, and it isn’t like they localize the voice acting [...]

Memorial Day
Posted by Trisha | Filed under General Life
I just got back from my Memorial Day weekend trip to Astoria with the family.
It was decent weather; we went to the HUGE farmer’s market, to the ocean, around town, but mostly hung out with family and ate good food.
It’s tough coming back to reality….
I would have had more fun if there wasn’t so many [...]

Xmas Eve Shopping
Posted by Trisha | Filed under General Life
So I am a procrastinator just like everyone else. Bah. Went shopping today and yesterday, and between three malls, it wasn’t crazy at all! No lines, and tons of sales people just standing around bored as hell. It was really nice and I even got some last minute shopper sales.
Decided to get some new boots [...]

Fridge Benefits
Posted by Trisha | Filed under General Life
I suppose I could just say I get “fridge” benefits… lol. Always food around. But I totally dig it, and since we’re owned by Germans, we get great perks even at the part time level. We are closed Christmas, New Years, and we shut down early on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I also get [...]

Personal Lubricant Use in Professional Photography
Posted by alan | Filed under Behind the Scenes, Photography
I’ve been reading lots of tutorials on how professionals create some fantastic product photos, and some of the tricks used are rather clever. For example, some food items do not photograph well, so the “milk” in cereal is actually watered-down glue. The ice you see in that liquor ad are actually acrylic…
And they use glycerin [...]

I hate political extremes.

I hate extremes on both sides. To balance things out, here’s “The hypocricy of the Left by Ken Mondschein”…
I was walking down Grand Street in Chinatown earlier today when I started feeling a bit peckish. One of the great things about Chinatown is that you can get dinner really cheap. For instance, there are these [...]

My Ultimate Pet Peeve
Posted by Trisha | Filed under General Life
I thought it may be a good time to discuss my ultimate pet peeve. I HATE it when I go buy something and someone says “Well how come you didn’t get me one!?” GAH!
Example: The other day I bought a Chipotle burrito, then decided to eat it at my in-law’s house. I didn’t know I [...]

YES YES I am back…..

FRICKING DON’T FLY UNITED AIRLINES!! On the way back, they completely screwed up our flights, delaying one and making us almost miss the other. Between flights we literally ran from one gate to the other. Then, when I got to SeaTac… that’s right… everyone’s worst nightmare…. NO LUGGAGE!!!! AGHHHH!!!! But hey, they know where it [...]

Graduation Party
Posted by Trisha | Filed under General Life
Ugh I was completely irritated… yah bad planning on her part. However, most of the graduation parties I’ve played at have been with more adults and less kids…. more about the family than the friends… so I didn’t know any better either. At my graduation party I just sat around with my family and ate [...]

Grocery Shopping Sucks
Posted by Trisha | Filed under General Life
I have had a long day…. ugh grocery shopping sucks. Oh well, I’m making Steven apple crisp for tomorrow because I have a gig and if I don’t make him food he will starve. (He is like an infant in many ways… but I still like him!)
I’ve practiced a lot today. It feels nice to [...]
