PAX 2009: The Aftermath

To be honest, this was my first PAX experience! Yes, I am still a hardcore nerd… the reason I’ve never gone is because for the last seven years I’ve worked a weekend job. Just too difficult to ask for time off.
PAX lived up to my expectations… kinda. I expected more babes, like a Hot Import Nights kind of experience. There were definitely chicks there, some handing out free shizzle, but no one that I thought was amazingly hot.
It was crowded, like they predicted. It took almost a half hour to be able to play the games you wanted to try, and once you were up there, it felt like the time passed too quickly for all of the waiting.
We will be doing some reviews of the products we saw, as well as previews and impressions of the games we played (some have been posted already). Make sure to check out our YouTube page, where our gameplay footage has been posted.
I was a little pissed that the convention ended at 6pm on the weekends. How are people with normal jobs supposed to be able to go? I thought since Freezepop wasn’t playing until 9:30pm that at least the floor would be open until then. Since it wasn’t, it left a whole lot of people hanging around from 6-9:30pm with nothing to do. I think they should stay open till 9, giving more people an opportunity to be there and enjoy it. Since I worked until 2pm that day, I was only there for 4 hours, not taking into account the hour break I took to eat some food with Alan and Patrick.
Look for some sweet pix coming up soon!
