Wiring can be a headache…

To be honest: routing all of my ATA cables in my big box so that they’re a) neat and b) not in the way of airflow at all. All of my cable routing in that box is near perfect thanks to an impact drill and zip ties used wisely.

Next one’s going to be a bit better though …

yeah - cable and wiring can be a bit of a headache. it usually requires a lot of shortening here, lengthening there, etc. to really get it nailed down. that is my one serious concern about the UFO case I am working on now as it has a ton of fans, a monitoring device, 2 fan controllers, dual optical drives, dual HDDs, wires to the pump, temp sensors and tubing. There is literally a nest of wiring in just about every corner of the case. I will resort to prior tactics and break out the sleeving, mounting tabs and micro-zipties to get some of it under control. The wire cutters, soldering iron, drill bit and grommets will tame down the rest. smile

hmmm….modding the case for the vapochill pe ti so that the PSU and control box would fit nicely in the top compartment of the vapo case was kind of complicated due to the phase change components that had to be slightly relocated for everything to fit & there were wiring problems with the control box (of course). Then I made a panel to change the factory PSU mounting location into a mounting point for a BIX2 rad which is the heatexchanger for the cooling loop that cools the n.bridge waterblock that packs an 80watt pelt.
